NYC Junior Ambassadors, a NYC initiative focused on empowering 7th graders in all five boroughs of our City to become actively engaged with the United Nations and its mission of addressing the most pressing challenges in the world. This initiative is part of the efforts by the Mayor’s Office for International Affairs to strengthen the connection between New York City and the UN and is made possible through our partnership with the NYC Department of Education, the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development, the United Nations and the United Nations Foundation.
The program is a wonderful opportunity for students and educators to gain unique access to the United Nations and gain exposure to the world of International Affairs, and we would be grateful if you could share details of the program with 7th grade educators in your community so they may apply to be considered for our 2019-2020 Cohort.
Attached please find a flyer for the program, which I would appreciate you distributing to 7th grade educators who might wish apply.
The application deadline for NYC Junior Ambassadors is October 4, 2019.
